Thornapple's Charlie,
AKA Charlie

Meet Thornapple's Charlie, AKA Chuck-a-Boom, AKA Chuck, AKA Boomer, but no matter what name we use,  he is a lover.  Charlie was born on August 5th, 2005.  His Mom is our Gabriella,  his Dad is Ferentum Rudy of Mountain Valley Spinone. 

Charlie enjoys life.  He is busy all the time.   He loves to run around the backyard, teasing the younger pups with a toy.  Much to his chagrin when the little ones grab the toy,  they run under the deck.  Charlie can no longer "run" under the deck.  He has to belly crawl because he has gotten too tall.  And by the time he gets under,  the little ones are already out the other side!

He is a very loving Spinone.  He needs to be around us and likes to be on your lap.  Imagine,  a 70 pound lap dog!!!  He is the most sensitive of our five Spinone.  He longs to please.  His latest trick is to bob for his toys in a tub of water we have in the backyard. He comes out with water flying and the prize in his mouth.  He's very proud of his new accomplishment.  Charlie has been a fun addition to the family.

But....Charlie had a new job to do, somewhere else where he is needed more.  He has gone to live on Long Island, New York were his new family resides.  He loves his new home as he has Alex, the grandson, to be with all the time.  Alex has cerebral palsy and Charlie has become quite attached to Alex and Alex to Charlie.  Alex takes Charlie on "pretend walks".  Charlie's new Mom hooks on his leash and gives it to Alex,  while Charlie patiently stands or sits by Alex's side until the "walk" is over.  I am loving Charlie's new family and grateful for all the attention he is getting at his new home.
